How it works

A country appears, you pick its capital from four options. The wrong answers are not random: most often they are the country's largest city, or a neighbour's capital. That is what makes the mode instructive rather than mechanical — it goes straight at the confusions people actually hold.

The score depends on correctness and response time, on a 0–1000 scale shared by every mode. A run of quick answers pushes the total up faster than a series of laboured correct ones.

As with flags, a solo run can be limited to one continent. That is the most efficient way to handle a blind spot: almost everyone knows Europe and almost nobody knows the Caribbean.

The mode also feeds the daily challenge and online duels, where both players get exactly the same questions.
